3 Shreveport elementary schools rank top 25 in Louisiana, U.S. News & World report says


U.S. News & World Report has released a database of the top elementary and middle schools in each state.

The database can be narrowed down based on either middle or elementary schools, and can be narrowed down further based on school district.

Top 3 elementary schools in Shreveport

Upon narrowing down the list of elementary schools in Louisiana to show only elementary schools in Shreveport, these are the top three elementary schools in Caddo Parish.

No. 1 South Highlands Elementary Magnet School

South Highlands Elementary Magnet School in Shreveport is ranked number one in Caddo Parish Public Schools, and is ranked number five in Louisiana Elementary Schools, according to U.S. News & World Report.

At South Highlands Elementary Schools, the student-teacher ratio is 19 to one, the student enrollment is 517 and the school teaches pre-k through fifth grade.

No. 2 Fairfield Magnet School

According to U.S. News & World Report, Fairfield Magnet School in Shreveport is ranked number two in Caddo Parish Public Schools, and number seven in Louisiana Elementary Schools.

Fairfield Magnet School serves pre-k through fifth grade, the enrollment is 515 students, and the student-teacher ratio is 18 to one.

No. 3 Eden Gardens Fundamental Elementary School

Eden Gardens Fundamental Elementary School in Shreveport is ranked number three in Caddo Parish Public Schools, and 23rd in Louisiana Elementary Schools, according to U.S. News & World Report’s database.

Student enrollment at Eden Gardens Fundamental Elementary School is 518 and the student-teacher ratio is 20 to 1, and the school teaches kindergarten through fifth grade.
