Leading independent agency Bob Berry Real Estate marks five decades of service to the Dubbo region.

Bob Berry Real Estate is celebrating 50 years in business, marking a significant milestone of dedication, growth, and community involvement in the Dubbo region.
Founded in the 1970s as a Livestock and Pastoral Company (LPC), Bob Berry Real Estate rebranded in 1977, shifting its focus to property management and residential real estate.
“We knew we needed to adapt to a changing market,” Mr Berry said.
“Our roots were in Stud Stock and Livestock Sales, but we quickly realised that property management and residential real estate was our future.”
The early years saw the agency grow in property management and play a pivotal role in the residential development of Dubbo, building 136 homes under the Berry Homes brand by the early 1990s.
The company’s growth was driven by Bob’s vision and a loyal team, including his wife, Margaret, who was an instrumental figure in operations until 2016.
“We’ve been incredibly fortunate to have such loyal staff,” Mr Berry said.
“Margaret kept everything running smoothly for years, and we’ve had some team members with us on and off for 30 years. They are a big reason for our success.”
To mark the occasion, a gala function was held in July, with plans for a morning tea and learning lunches to share their extensive knowledge of the property market.
“Word of mouth was huge for us back in the 70s, and it’s still just as important today,” Director Jane Donald said.
“We’ve got clients who’ve been with us since the beginning.”
Mr Berry’s community involvement has been recognised through numerous awards, including being the first country member to receive REINSW’s prestigious Woodrow Weight Award and the 2003 Dubbo Business Chamber Jean Emile Serisier Roll of Honour recipient.
“Dubbo has given us so much, and we’ve always felt it’s important to give back,” Director Fiona Gibbs said.
“We’ve been involved in sponsorships, donations, and volunteering. It’s about building a strong community and doing what’s right for the people here.”
Looking ahead, Bob Berry Real Estate is focused on maintaining its boutique approach while embracing new opportunities and technology.
“We understand that it’s all about the client experience,” Ms Donald said.
“While we’ve embraced new technology, our values remain unchanged.”
