The Environment Agency wants to hear from contractors interested in taking part in a £3bn asset-management framework.
The government-owned body issued a prior-information notice this week relating to its Collaborative Delivery Framework (CDF) 2, calling for construction suppliers to take part in a pre-market-engagement questionnaire.
Flood and coastal risk management will be among the works carried out under the programme, with maintenance of navigation, water, land and biodiversity assets also in its scope, the notice says.
Projects will range in value from £1m to circa £75m.
“The framework will be required to develop, design and deliver nature-based solutions and more traditional hard engineering-based solutions,” the notice adds.
A previous survey was launched by the agency on the same framework in March, but the notice says the new version is different and targeted directly at construction suppliers.
It adds that consultants do not need to complete the new version.
“Ahead of commencing with the formal tender process, we will conduct further market engagement with all interested parties,” it states.
Interested parties have until 10am on 17 September to submit their responses.
Full procurement for the framework is still expected to begin in March 2025.
