Knight Frank is focusing on diversity, equity and inclusion in partnership with the Property Council of Australia NSW.
The Property Council of Australia and Knight Frank Australia are delighted to announce a two-year partnership that will see Knight Frank become the Property Council of Australia’s NSW Diversity, Equity and Inclusion partner for 2024 and 2025.
The partnership is aligned with Knight Frank Australia’s passion for diversity, equity and inclusion and their promise to their people in their employee value proposition that they’ll feel supported and inspired in an inclusive culture that is defined by opportunity.
As part of the agreement, Knight Frank Australia will sponsor three popular annual Property Council of Australia events:
• The Property Council of Australia’s International Women’s Day Lunch, which will be held at The Fullerton Hotel on Thursday, 7 March, honouring the achievements, resilience, and strength of women.
Knight Frank Australia’s Head of Asset Management Services, Lisa Atkins, will join keynote speaker, writer, and disability advocate Hannah Diviney on a panel alongside Mirvac’s Chief Stakeholder Relations & Customer Officer, Amy Menere and Camille Jasson, who is Business Lead & Innovation Lead | Property and Social Infrastructure at The APP Group.
• The Property Council of Australia’s Annual Women in Property Lunch, which will take place in May.
• Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, the Property Council of Australia is planning to go one step further with this year’s Pride in Property event in June 2024.
Property Council of Australia Chief Executive Mike Zorbas said they were delighted to have Knight Frank Australia as its NSW Diversity, Equity and Inclusion partner for 2024 and 2025.
“Healthy, diverse and inclusive workplaces are something we have long championed through our advocacy, thought leadership and events and I look forward to building on that work through this partnership,” Mr Zorbas said.
Katie Stevenson, NSW Executive Director, Property Council of Australia said the Property Council’s NSW Division shares their members’ passion for driving change for good, including through initiatives that champion diversity, equity and inclusion.
“Positive change in our sector is driven through alliances between industry leaders with shared values, which is why this partnership with Knight Frank is so exciting,” Ms Stevenson said.
“I am looking forward to working together to achieve great things, starting with an annual calendar of events connecting people who want to contribute to a dynamic, inclusive industry.”
Knight Frank Chief Executive Officer James Patterson said he was thrilled the opportunity to be the Property Council NSW Chapter’s new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion partner had become available.
“This is an incredible chance for us to demonstrate our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion,” Mr Patterson said.
“The partnership aligns with what we’re trying to achieve as we foster a healthy and balanced workplace with 40:40:20 gender representation.
“We are building a workforce that reflects a balanced representation of our society and are creating a welcoming and respectful space where the goal is for all individuals to feel valued, be comfortable being themselves and feel they can bring their whole selves to work.
“The partnership complements our existing sponsorship of the NSW Waratahs Women’s team which helps provide employment pathways for women in sport wanting to join the property industry.”
