Rishi Ankus has been appointed as the new General Manager – Sales, bringing over a decade of senior sales and leadership experience from across New Zealand’s media and property sectors.
The appointment comes as part of a broader restructuring of the sales leadership team.
Sarah Wood, CEO of realestate.co.nz, said the appointment of Mr Ankus in the current property market landscape is strategic.
“Rishi has proven experience of building high-performing teams and delivering commercial impact,” Ms Wood said.
“That deep understanding of what drives sales success in a thriving, customer-focused industry, will further elevate our team to continue to provide meaningful service to real estate professionals across New Zealand.”
Mr Ankus will be supported by a newly formed team of Sales Directors, including Tonia Dixon overseeing Auckland, Ryan Steven managing Central & South regions, and Karl Bradford handling Commercial and Business Development.
Ms Dixon joins the company with more than 15 years of sales and leadership experience and will lead a team of eight Account Managers dedicated specifically to the Auckland region.
Her appointment strengthens the company’s presence in New Zealand’s largest property market.
Mr Steven’s promotion to Sales Director for Central & South regions comes after successfully managing the Waikato region for realestate.co.nz.
In his expanded role, he will lead a team of six Account Managers covering a much broader geographical area.
Ms Wood noted the importance of internal growth opportunities within the organisation.
“Ryan has done an exceptional job looking after the Waikato region, with proven results in growing our support and revenue in the area,” she said.
“We are looking forward to seeing him continue to grow in a role with far greater scope.”
Mr Bradford, who has been with realestate.co.nz for 18 months primarily supporting commercial agents, has moved into the newly created position of Commercial and Business Development Director.
His expanded responsibilities now include supporting property managers and the Chinese-speaking community.
The restructuring comes at a significant time for realestate.co.nz, which is approaching its 30th anniversary next year.
The platform predates even Google in the digital space, highlighting its pioneering role in New Zealand’s online property market.
Mr Ankus expressed enthusiasm about joining the company at this pivotal moment.
“New Zealand’s longest-standing property website, realestate.co.nz, has been around longer than Google and next year it will celebrate 30 years in business,” Mr Ankus said.
“I’m looking forward to being part of this next phase and helping our customers get the most value from our platform.”
The strategic appointments reflect realestate.co.nz’s commitment to strengthening its market position and enhancing service delivery to real estate professionals nationwide.
“Karl’s expertise and leadership will be instrumental in driving growth and innovation in key areas of our business,” Ms Wood said.
“We’re confident this new leadership team positions us well for the future.”
