The line of storms that spurned at least two confirmed tornadoes have moved out.
“It hit northwest Georgia at 3 a.m. and moved out of our area by 6 a.m.” Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

At least two confirmed tornadoes touched down in the Channel 2 Action News viewing area early Sunday morning.
Nitz said gusty winds along with the wet, loose soil could still topple some trees throughout the morning but the severe weather threat is over.

Nitz said the storms moved quickly, with wind gusts close to 80 mph measured at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta.
