Snow could impact Columbus rush hour ahead of significant drop in temps, NWS says

The National Weather Service is warning drivers ahead of scattered snow showers forecasted for early Wednesday.

Although little snow will accumulate, the showers could produce quick bursts that could cause decreased visibility and slick spots on roadways, the NWS said in a hazardous weather outlook for central Ohio, southwest Ohio and parts of Indiana and Kentucky.

Columbus’ rainy overnight weather is expected to turn to snow early Wednesday, the National Weather Service said. Expect a wintery mix of rain and snow in the early rush hour until about 8 a.m.

After that, expect only snow.
