A modest Victorian terrace in Bromley, once briefly home to David Bowie, is now on the market for £449,500 (approximately AUD $926,000).​

Located on Canon Road, The Standard reported the two-bedroom house was occupied by the Jones family in 1953 when Bowie was six years old.

Their stay lasted just a year before relocating to nearby street.

The property spans 813 square feet and features two reception rooms, a fitted kitchen, two double bedrooms, and a four-piece bathroom.

A 428 square foot paved rear garden offers additional outdoor space .

Described by estate agents Leaders as a “charming two-bedroom period terraced house,” it is situated in a quiet residential area near Bickley station.​

The house last sold for £124,999 in December 2014, marking a significant appreciation in value.​

While Bowie’s time at Canon Road was brief, his formative years in Bromley played a role in his early musical development.

He attended local schools and later Bromley Technical College, where he performed live for the first time at a school fete in 1962.​
